….Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19. I love this passage because it encompasses the whole spectrum of what it means to follow Christ. First there is the initial salvation experience (Follow me) this is where we make the decision to follow Christ as we learn of his saving grace and love. After that, is the experience of (Make you). This is the part where he make us into character of Christ. This where we mature and display the fruit of Spirit in our lives and become more Christlike. Fishers of Men refers to winning people to Christ. This would of course involve us discipling them to be Christ followers and involved in a local church.
Prayer‘ thank you Lord for another day. Mold me and make more like /Jesus and help me to be a fisher of men. Amen
…seguidme y os hare pescadores de hombres. Mateo 4:19 Me gusta este pasaje porque cubre toda la gama de lo que es ser un seguidor de Jesús. Primero, esta seguidme y esto es la experiencia inicial de salvación. La salvación es llegar a conocer lo que significa ser salvo por gracia y conocer la profundidad del amor de Dios. Luego esta la parte- os haré– esta es la parte donde Dios nos moldea para que reflejemos el cáraçcter de Jesús, Es la fase donde maduramos y demostramos el fruto del Espiritu Santo. Ser Pescadores de hombres significa el ganar a personas para Cristo. Esto naturalmente incluye el discípularlos e involucrarlos en una iglesia local.
Oracion- Senor, gracias por un nuevo dia. Moldéame y hazme mas como Jesus y ayúdame a ser un pescador de hombres. Amen.
