Psalm 103
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s
Affirmations were in the Word of God thousands of years before the development of Positive Psychology and their belief in the power of affirmations. This Psalm has all of the current thinking about self affirmations. 1. Self Talk- David is talking to himself and encouraging himself. Bless the Lord oh my soul 2. All of the affirmations are in the present- heals all my diseases not will heal. We are encouraged today to say something-like I am happy- not I will be happy 3. They are written and are to be repeated. 4. They are positive. So David affirms God’s benefits, his forgiveness, healing power, rescuing from the pit and the renewal of strength like an eagle. Some great affirmations for today.
Prayer– Thank you Lord for another day and today I’m reminded of your blessings, your healing power, your salvation and the strength you give me.
2 Bendice, alma mía, a Jehová,
